Linear module is widely used in the field of automation industry, it is relatively differentiated in the development of different automation industries. So when choosing linear module, we should consider all kinds of factors. The following are the main factors that need to be evaluated.

1. Vibration resistance and stability: stability refers to the performance that no self excitation vibration occurs under given operating conditions; The vibration resistance refers to the ability of the model group to accept forced vibration and impact.

2. Stiffness is very important for precision machinery and instruments. Module deformation includes deformation of guide rail body, contact deformation of guide rail pair, and the ability of guide rail to resist force deformation. Deformation affects the relative position and guide accuracy between components. Both servo electric cylinders shall be considered.

3. The motion sensitivity and positioning precision linear guide motion sensitivity refer to the smaller travel that the moving members can achieve; Positioning accuracy refers to the ability of moving members to stop at a designated position as required. The sensitivity and accuracy of motion are related to the type of guide rail, friction characteristics, motion speed, transmission stiffness, quality of moving components and so on.

4. Accuracy persistence: refers to the ability to maintain the original geometric accuracy during the working process. The precision persistence of the module depends on the stability of the wear resistance dimension of the guide rail. The wear resistance is related to the matching of the data of the guide rail pair, the force, the processing accuracy, the lubrication mode and the performance of the protective device. The residual stress in the guide rail and its supporting parts of linear motor also affects the precision persistence of the guide rail.

5. The accuracy of the guide and the thermal deformation of the module and supporting parts. The guidance accuracy refers to the accurate level of the motion track of the moving member when it moves along the guide surface of the guide rail. The main factors affecting the guide precision are the geometric accuracy of guide rail bearing surface, the structure type of guide rail, the contact precision of guide pair, the surface roughness, the rigidity of guide rail and supporting parts, the thickness of oil film and the stiffness of oil film of guide rail pair. The geometric accuracy of micro electro-steel linear motion guide generally includes: straightness in vertical plane and horizontal plane; Parallelism between two guide surfaces. The geometric accuracy of guide rail can be expressed by the error of the whole length of the guide rail or the error in unit length.

6. Motion stability module motion stability refers to the performance of the guide rail not to crawl when it moves at low speed or in small amount. The stability of the single axis arm is related to the structure of the guide rail, the matching of the guide rail materials, the lubrication condition, the lubricant properties and the stiffness of the transmission system of the guide rail movement. When selecting slide module, it is determined whether manual adjustment or motor control is required at first. Then, it can determine displacement stroke, load size, displacement accuracy, resolution, and desired dimension in sequence.
